suit up

I never was a great fan of dressing up.

If I had choice, I would rather just wear jeans and a shirt. But I wore a suit today. (I know, right???)

In my more than 23 years of existence, I have only worn the suit at most four times. The barong (Filipino national costume), which is also worn for formal events, a bit more. However, I never had my own formal wear. Now, I have suits and barongs that I could (technically) call my own.

Also, I just learned how to tie a neck tie last week. I spent an afternoon trying (and failing) to make a proper neck tie. I did manage to do it eventually. :)

Now that I am not shooting videos while treading the mud in rice fields or walking along the dikes, I should dress the part, right? Let’s dress for success. In the words of the great Barnabus Stinson, “Suit up!”

By the way, I had a suit on because I had an interview for a part time job. And I got it. I start on Monday. :)
