van gogh, picasso, and boccioni are just some of the famous names whose works are under this one roof. they even had michaelangelo’s first painting on special exhibit. it was a copy of a well-known engraving by the German artist Martin Schongauer called the Torment of Saint Anthony. dont have a picture of it though. cannot take pictures in the special exhibit. but you can see it in their website.

to prevent jet lag, they say that one should stay awake as much as possible if arriving in the nighttime or sleep if arriving when the sun is still up. but knowing me, i’m gonna sleep a lot anyway. had a lot of catching up with my sleep too.

turns out, it was no problem anyway. i still slept the night and majority of the next day. so, maybe i wasn’t experiencing any trouble at all. except, i woke up really really early the next day (around 2 am) and couldn’t sleep at all. at around 4, i decided to read the economics book i have been carrying around for a while now. didn’t think much of the lack of sleep, decided i could just catch up on lost sleep anytime.

anyway, my uncle (clueless of my lack of sleep) asked me to try to stay awake the day so i would adjust to the time zone. his bright idea? we tour new york. so my dad, my uncle, and i took the subway to new york and try to get a tour.
