i’m home
had a really hellish experience to get home last weekend.
traffic in manila was really really bad. my brother texted me three times within 15 minutes and i was still within a 10-meter distance. good thing my other brother was able to pick me up.
the next day, left the house at around 5 am although my flight was still at 10:35 am. had to go with my brothers so that i would have no problem with my BIG bag.
2 and 2
put two and two together is an idiom which means to guess the truth about something from pieces of information you know about (http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/put+two+and+two+together).
in mathematics, the 2s can be added to make 4 or if placed beside each other, they make 22.
here i am again with my incoherent rambling. hehehe. just wanted to say that i am now 22 years (old) young. turned a year wiser (hopefully) on dec 16.
congratulations!
the philrice newsletter was inducted into the Binhi Awards Hall of Fame from the Philippine Agricultural Journalists (PAJ) for winning best newsletter for three years (2002, 2005, and 2006).
also, the campaign against rat pests in rice called “Boo boo rat! Palay mo’y ligtas, 24 oras” won campaign of the year by the same award-giving body.
congratulations to the development communication division and to everyone else who is part of the newsletter and the campaign!

back to work
here i am working (or pretending to work) again.
after a 3 1/2 month-long “vacation”, it is back to the old routine. adjusting to work-mode hasn’t been as hard as i thought i would be. fortunately, i am not too busy (yet).
almost christmas
when i arrived in manila last saturday, i realized christmas is definitely coming close. lots of beautiful decorations and pretty lights.
did you know that filipinos celebrate the longest religious holiday? Christmas season in the Philippines begins in September, the first month that ends in -ber. it is when chillier winds start to come – brrrrrrrrr. (but before you get any ideas, our idea of chilly might not be same as yours. we don’t have winter). christmas season ends in january, during the feast of the three kings.
