spaced out

spaced out. defined as ”out of touch with reality” by Roget’s New Millennium™ Thesaurus, First Edition (v 1.3.1).

is that how i am? maybe. my reality is completely different from how i’ve been spending the past 3 months. very lucky indeed. but since i still know that this won’t last forever (it’s ending in 2 weeks, in fact), maybe i am not spaced out. being confused, aloof, disoriented, delirious, high, i think is bad feeling to have actually.

but then again, spaced out could also mean ecstatic, blissful, happy – according to the same thesaurus. maybe i am. maybe i’m not.

now it’s you who is becoming spaced out, right? hahaha.

sorry for confusing you. but i actually just wanted to introduce you to two space science stories. hehehe. hence the title “spaced out”. enjoy!

Terraforming of Mars

Artist’s conception of the terraforming of Mars in four stages of development. Terraforming is the hypothetical process of changing a planet’s environment to produce a world that is habitable by humans. The globe in the final stage (on the right) is based on data from the Mars Global Surveyor. All the shore lines are approximate to where it is believed they would be if all the permafrost on Mars melted.
